A good year…

What a ride the old year (2020) was. Things wished forgotten, to do over, or just simply to re-live. But my hope is that 2021 will be a good year. In fact, a very good year! After all, it is what we make it, right?

I began my new year per usual; dinner with friends then home before midnight. Yet another year passed that we did not touch off the shotgun; three years running it seems to be the new trend- doing nothing. My husband and I were barely awake to wish each other a prosperous New Year.

Valuing the old…

While I have no resolutions, I aspire to cultivate and rekindle past friendships, ideas and skills. Change (or evolution) seems inevitable in any of those categories, especially with friends AND family. But with every new day a difference is made. I try to make sure my light is on at all times; entertaining provoked thought, embellishing on skillsets, welcoming those who cross my path….

I recently reached out to an old friend that I have mentioned on this blog before. It’s hard to believe that an incredible four years has gone by since writing this about Md. Obydulla. “Oby” has expanded his own blog, which he re-named “Shout“. A man after my own heart! I wonder if he knows the entirety of the wisdom he possesses. Oby has a blog devoted to computer and web technology. He has inspired me to broaden my computer skills. There is no place better to start than with him. Great things in store for a great man!!

In with the new…

Alas, keeping the fires burning in relationships is not one sided or for those who tend to be introverted like myself. So this year will be an awakening of sorts. Ever reaching out to new discoveries; whether it be people, places or things, the sky is the limit! Now that I am embarking on the “golden years” why not make them golden indeed?

My husband has been working on a new “craft area” in his pole barn for me. Something new this year to inspire creativity in me! Anyway, that’s how I look at it. Another good thing in a year that will be filled with many memorable good things. Like Oby said when we last chatted: “Everything will be in control soon & you’ll get time to write and learn new things”. (Did I mention he is a man after my own heart?) From his mouth to God’s ears….

There is light at the end of the tunnel

We are to continually seek the light at the end of the tunnel… We are all different, yet all the same. Are we not?

For my good friend Md Obydullah. I am blessed and thankful for your friendship.
