Ascending water in the pond location
My husband showed me pictures of the potential pond. The areas that have been dug so far are full of water! It makes me anticipate it being finished all the more. it’s in a good place for ascending water.
When the wind and rain pass, I will mow the lawn. It will probably be for the last time this year. I also have to make sure that our Christmas lights are functional before it gets too cold. Yes, I am one of those hillbillies that never take their outside decorations down.
But first
This week I hope to look into a new job. It was offered to me three weeks ago. I am hoping it is everything I imagine, as it will be a no brainer for me to accept. There are only a couple of deal breakers I can think of. I don’t expect they will not be an issue.
Even if it doesn’t work out, I will still be looking into other prospects. I’m ready to be putting a little extra money into my pocket. I can afford to be a little choosy in finding the right fit for me.
three weeks in
Is it too soon? Three weeks into retirement. I don’t think so. I’m ready to be moving on. Increasing my earning potential. Getting us out of debt faster. I like the idea of being home and getting things done here but the pay is not what I want.
So far, I have rearranged the living room. Keeping open spaces reserved for a Christmas tree (if we put one up this year) and some exercise. Straightened up the train wreck kitchen; not once, not twice but more times that I lost count with canning and all. I have plenty more to do.
hubby goes back to work
Hubby’s weekend is over and back to the grind stone for him. I make sure to have his lunch ready, whatever he asks, for in the morning. Then in the afternoon, I have what he likes for dinner ready. At least he isn’t spending time on eating something that is not the greatest for him.
He has a couple of years left and it will fly by. It did for me. Then we will both be enjoying each other and our new time together. At this point, it has been working out pretty well. I asked him if he was ready for me to find something to do. He said “no”, but he isn’t wanting to gain weight from having cooked meals waiting for him. Maybe we should take walks around the neighborhood when he gets home!
