Today was a beautiful day in southern Michigan
then someone had to release the bugs. We spent most of the day outside preparing for winter. The usual, clearing of the garage, putting his motorcycle in the lean-to side. We made a trip to Parma looking for the forestry place. We found the office but nothing else. It was a nice ride none-the-less.
Afterwards we went out for breakfast. It started out in the 40’s but quickly rose to the 70’s. When we arrived home, we decided to do a little outside work.
The Boxelder bugs
These bugs are the worst! That is next to cockroaches. We aren’t used to seeing them in the northern states, at least we didn’t use to be. In the south they are routine.
Back to the Boxelder bug, they are incredibly bad this year. We don’t have a tree on our property, but there is one just behind us on another person’s land.
I want to release the bug spray; hubby says it will do no good as it is too late. I don’t know. What I do know is that the southern side of our house is loaded with them, as well as the west side. You can’t do anything outside without getting them on you! I don’t like any bugs that crawl on me! Every time you open a door there is a Boxelder bug invasion. I am ready to release them to another planet!
