thats right, seven more days
SEVEN MORE DAYS I will be officially retired! Life recreated! Turning over a new leaf. Have I ever wrote about the daily post words seem to coincide with my day?
I have a couple more obligations, then I’m poised and ready to be booted out the door. No matter how hard I try, though, it just doesn’t seem real. I’m going through the motions but until I wake up on October 2nd and don’t have to worry about getting around at a certain time, it’s not real.
happy birthday
What a great birthday present to myself! Retiring. The month of October is a great month. Always has been for me. I know many great people who share the same birth month. But this year it is especially a great one. Foremost, it’s the first month of my retirement. Secondly, I am being honored as volunteer of the month at the facility! Plus it’s my birthday on the 2nd! The first day I will not be going to work.
You know, for 25 years I have taken either the day of or the day before (or after), which ever the case may be. Maybe being retired will not hit me until the next day. I’m okay with what ever day it hits me on. The fact will remain I am officially retired!
what to do
I’m running different things through my head on what I would like to do. One thing is, I plan to volunteer an extra day a week. Another plan is exercise, I will be joining a Planet Fitness. It’s a reasonal price for someone on a pension. Foremost, I plan on getting our house in order. I will be a typical retired person who says they are more busy than when they were working.
I know it is likely getting old, my blathering on and on about retiring. It’s only out of lack for other interesting topics. And, I am OCD enough that I do not want to miss a daily word post. With that I will end this one. 😉
